CIMAC local events 2009

On November 26, 2009, the first CIMAC CASCADES Seminar took place, hosted by Germanischer Lloyd in Hamburg.This new event is aimed at younger engineers.

 
CAse Studies in Combustion engine Applications and Design ExperienceS

The topic of the first CIMAC CASCADES seminar for younger engineers was 'Fuel injection & fuels'. Our aim of this kind of event is to create a discussion forum for younger engineers and leading industry experts to offer a networking possibility for them. The vision of this type of seminar is presenting case studies from latest development projects.

During the well attended event participants took the opportunity to learn about skills in real projects focused on experiences gained from case studies presented by 9 engineers. At the end an award was granted to the best presenter selected by the jury.

• the CIMAC NMA UK is taking part in the IDGTE Reciprocating Engines Conference in Milton-Keynes on March 3 - 4, 2009. Conference topic is 'Modern Power Systems for Efficiency and Security of Supply'.

• the CIMAC NMA UK is participating in the IMechE conference 'Injection Systems for IC Engines' which will take place 13 - 14 May, 2009, in London. CIMAC members can register at the reduced members' rate. The programme including registration form is now available for download:

• the Norwegian CIMAC NMA has held a CIMAC Circle at Nor-Shipping on June 11, 2009, 13:00 h - 15:00 h. It was a panel discussion with the title 'Gas fueled ships - a solution for traffic in coastal and inland waterways?'.
