WG 13 TE - Turbocharger Efficiency

This new WG's aim is to establish an unambiguous definition of turbocharger efficiency to all kind of turbocharged engine

 The aim has been achieved by publishing the CIMAC recommendation No. 27 'Turbocharging efficiencies - definitions and guidelines for measurement and caluculation, 2007'. The recommendation is available in the CIMAC Technical Paper Database at

WG 14 UR - Unified Rules for Vibration Analysis and Measurement
AimChairman

This new WG's aim is to create unified rules for vibration analysis and measurement. This WG holds liaison with ISO/TC 108/SC 2 and ISO/TC 108/SC 2/WG 2

As a result of the WG's work IACS UR M68 has been issued. The WG has thus completed its task and issued a final report:

Although the WG has finalised its assigned task, for the future Mr. Per Ronnedal will represent CIMAC in ISO/TC 108/SC 2/WG 2

WG 15 ESS - Electronics and Software Systems
AimChairman
The objective of this WG is to cover the Reliability and Safety of (a) engine electronic components and (b) engine automation systems (both on- and off-engine). It is intended to supervise/assist the implementation of the new technologies by (a) providing Recommendations to OEMs and their suppliers; (b) proposing a partnership to the Certification Authorities; and (c) facilitating end-customers' understanding and selection.
