WG 18 ERS – Engine Room Safety
AimChairman

Safe and secure operation of combustion engines is a prerequisite for the reliability and availability of commercial ships. The aim of this Working Group is to identify under which circumstances hot spots are generated and to give recommendations on the application of advanced sensor technologies and systems for detection, analysis and prevention of engine room fires on board ships originating from these hot spots.
