CIMAC WG 8 “Marine Lubricants”, a team of experts from all relevant disciplines – ship operators, engine and equipment manufacturers, oil and additive suppliers, classification societies and scientific institutions – is working to define common industry positions for the use and maintenance of lubricating oils in different types of engine. The WG has now published a new CIMAC Guideline on “Used engine oil analysis”.
