CIMAC Board, CIMAC Council and Digitalisation Strategy Group recently held meetings in Switzerland at the same week. This provided good opportunities for networking and exchange within the groups and beyond, also during the lunch and dinner breaks. Joining the Council for the first time was Antonios Trakakis, representing the new NMA Greece. The topics discussed were complex and diverse, greenhouse gases and digitalization are on the minds of all members, but diversity and youth recruiting are also high on the agenda.

The Digitalization Strategy Group and the Board also took the opportunity to visit the ERIC Engine Research & Innovation Center of WinGD in Oberwinterthur and to get an impression of the ammonia test field being built there. The Council could already get an impression of the CIMAC Congress 2025 venue in Zurich. The city will host the Congress from 19 to 23 of May 2025 and offer a unique opportunity to keep up to date with what is happening in the large engine industry. Special thanks for the great organization of the meetings with bus transfers and the excellent hotel selection go to the hosts WinGD and Swissmem.
