CIMAC just held its first Town Hall meeting on CIMAC activities at the International Maritime Organization (IMO), sharing latest news and updates with the wider community, along with CIMAC’s efforts to help shape the future of the maritime industry.
The level of participation was pleasingly high. The presentation (please find it here) was moderated by Deputy Secretary General Daniel Erdmann, with contributions from CIMAC President Rick Boom, Eero Lehtovaara, CIMAC Accredited Representative at the IMO and VP Digitalization and Leo Budicin, CIMAC Coordinator. Please find a recoreding of the Townhall meeting here.
In July, CIMAC has been granted consultative status with the IMO. This achievement marks a pivotal moment for the association, enabling it to actively engage in key IMO committees that are critical to its members, including the Sub-Committee on Ship Design and Construction (SDC), the Sub-Committee on Ship Systems and Equipment (SSE), the Facilitation Committee (FAL), the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC), and the Maritime Safety Committee (MSC).
